Applicable Animals
(1)Ruminants
Iodine is essential for the maintenance of reproductive performance in animals. Supplementation of
iodine to the diet of lambs can increase the concentration of T3 and T4, increase the twin rate to 53.4%,
reduce the stillbirth rate, and improve the reproductive performance of female animals.
(2)Growing pigs
The goiter caused by iodine deϐ iciency can be alleviated and the health of growing pigs can be improved
by supplementing iodine in corn-soybean meal diet at different levels
(3)Poultry
Adding 0.4 mg/kg iodine to the diet of meat geese can signiϐ icantly improve the growth performance,
slaughter performance and antioxidant capacity of geese.
