Common Micronutrient Deficiencies in Marine fish Farming and Suggestions for Supplementation
1. Cobalt
Cobalt is required primarily for the synthesis of vitamin B12. Fish cannot synthesize B12 on their own, but cobalt is available to gut microbes.
Deficiency causes vitamin B12 deficiency to manifest as anemia, poor growth, and neurological dysfunction.
Cobalt is a core element of vitamin B12 involved in nucleic acid synthesis and erythropoiesis.

2.Zinc

3. Selenium and VE(both synergistic effects, often considered together)
Selenium generally occurs in concert with VE deficiency, and selenium is a component of glutathione peroxidase, an enzyme that acts in conjunction with vitamin E to protect cell membranes from oxidative damage.
Fish with selenium deficiency can suffer from muscular dystrophy, muscle atrophy and weakness, commonly known as "white myopathy".
