Product Efficacy
- 1. DMPT is a naturally occurring sulfur-containing compound, is a new class of attractant out of the fourth generation of aquatic phagostimulant. The attractant effect of DMPT is as much as that of the choline chloride 1.25 times, 2.56 times of glycine betaine, 1.42 times of methyl-methionine, 1.56 times of glutamine. Glutamine is one of the best amino acid attractants, and DMPT is better than Glutamine. The study shows that DMPT is the effect best attractant.
2. DMPT growth promoting effect is 2.5 times without the addition of semi-natural bait attractant.
3. DMPT can improve meat quality, freshwater species has seafood flavor, so improve the economic value of freshwater species.

Production method of DMPT
Natural extraction method
The earliest DMPT is pure natural compound extracted from seaweed. Like marine algae, mollusc, euphausiacea, fish food chain contains natural DMPT.
Chemical synthesis method
Due to high cost and low purity of natural extraction method , and also not easily to the industrialization, artificial synthesis of DMPT has been made out to the large-scale application. Make chemical reaction of Dimethyl Sulfide and 3-Chloropropionic Acid in the solvent, and then become Dimethyl-Beta-Propiothetin Hydrochloride.

1.Attractant effect
As an effective ligand for taste receptors:
Fish taste receptors interact with low molecular compounds containing(CH3)2S-and(CH3)2N-groups.DMPT, as a strong olfactory nerve stimulant, almost have the effect of inducing food and promoting food intake for all aquatic animals.
As a growth stimulant for aquatic animals, it can significantly promote the feeding behavior and growth upon various marine freshwater fishes, shrimps and crabs. The feeding stimulation effect of aquatic animals was 2.55 times higher than that of glutamine (which was known to be the best feeding stimulant for most freshwater fishes before DMPT).
2.High efficient methyl donor, growth promoting
Dimethyl-Beta-Propiothetin (DMPT) molecules (CH3) 2S groups have methyl donor function, could be effectively utilized by aquatic animals, and promote the secretion of digestive enzymes in the animal body, promote fish digestion and nutrient absorption , improve the utilization rate of the feed.
3.Improve the anti-stress ability, anti-osmotic pressure
Improve exercise capacity in aquatic animal and anti-stress ability (including hypoxia tolerance and high-temperature tolerance), improve the adaptability and survival rate of the juvenile fish. Shelling and growth mechanism:
Crustaceans can synthesis DMPT by themselves. The current study show that for shrimp, DMPT is the new type of molting hormone analogues and also water-soluble , promote the growth rate through the promotion of shelling. DMPT is aquatic gustatory receptor ligand, could strongly stimulate the gustatory, olfactory nerve of aquatic animals, so as to increase up the feeding speed and feed consumption under the stress

DMPT has liver protection function, not only can improve animal health and reduce visceral / body weight ratio but also improve the edibility of the aquatic animals.
